Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 17, 2026

Our Commitment

Obscura Labs was built on a single principle: your data is yours. We do not collect it, store it, sell it, or share it. There is no account to create, no server to send anything to, and no third party in the middle. This privacy policy exists to make that commitment explicit and legally binding.

Information We Collect

From this website: none. It has no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no cookies.

From Obscura Vault: nothing at all. The app is built zero-knowledge and zero-storage: your files, notes and recordings are encrypted on your device with a key derived from a recovery phrase only you hold. We have no way to read them, no server that receives them, and no way to recover them for you. It makes no network connections — none, to us or to anyone. On Android that is enforced by the app itself, which does not ask for internet access at all.

The app can hand something to another app you choose — opening a link in your browser, or sending a file through your device's share sheet. What happens after that is between you and the app you picked; nothing is sent anywhere unless you ask for it.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics platforms, or any third-party data collection tools on our website or in Obscura Vault. There is no third party involved anywhere. We do not monitor your behavior, track your device, or build profiles about you.

Third-Party Sharing

We hold no data to share with third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. We do not sell personal information. We never will.

Law Enforcement Requests

In the event we receive a legal request, subpoena, or court order seeking user data, we have nothing to provide. Our zero-knowledge architecture means that even if compelled, we are technically incapable of producing your data — because we do not have it.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors. Since we hold no personal data, there is nothing here that could identify a child — or anyone else.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this policy, changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We will never introduce data collection practices without clear, prominent notice.
